A local gem which delivered great service and food!
We decided to have our mid autumn festival dinner at crystal palace . Remember that I am used to the delicious Richmond Hill and markham cuisine ... so the expectation was tampered
We ordered seafood rice wrapped in lotus leaves which is a difficult dish to make even in the CHINESE Places in toronto
We also ordered crab meat with fish Maw soup, CHINESE beef tenderloin on sIzzling plate , snow pea shoot in garlic and deep fried pickerel!
Every dish was presented well and tasted amazing ! One can tell that it was prepared by a traditional trained CHINESE chef !
It is two thumbs up for the food and the rest of the fingers for the friendly and professional service!
So I will say that crystal palace became my Asian go/to place in Hamilton !! -

The food taste is not that good and with bad service I got , I will not be going back and dont recommend to coworkers/anyone.
If I could give no star to this lousy restaurant, I will do it, the cashier lady I think she is the owner is way too mean, rude, I asked to pay with 2 cards, company credit card and personal card, she refused, why it is so hard? I have limit amount for expenses. She is just a bxxch!! -

I would give this place no star if I could. Whoever said this place is the most authentic for chinese food has not had authentic chinese food.
First off, service was horrendous. We sat down and no one gave us menus for the first 10 minutes until a server came and asked us if we had any. No one came to ask how the food was or if we needed anything such as a refill on our empty water glasses.
The food took forever to come. First thing that came was the crab meat and fish maw soup. This soup had no flavour, the fish maw was hard and overcooked and there was micro amounts of crab meat actually in the soup and it was too watery.
The fried rice was bland and greasy.
The seafood phoenix nest was something I have never seen before. The nest was not made from taro which is a huge disappointment. It was made from vermicelli noodle. It was filled with huge chunks of celery and carrot. There was squid, shrimp and one scallop and snap peas. This dish was $16.00.
I will not be going back here. -

Used to be good. It took them half an hour to serve our food. During our dine in, we have to ask for water several times as the staff keeps forgetting it. We literally have to get up and go get our water.
Their food is not consistent in terms of taste and quality making me unsure if I want to go back or not. -

We love the food at this restaurant. A good mix of Canadian Cantonese as well as traditional Chinese. Wonderful dim sum. Huge selection of dishes. Beautifully prepared & great serving staff. Number1 Chinese restaurant in Hamilton ... second to none! Highly recommend!
